●これは前世に悪いことをした罰だ. This is (a) punishment [retribution] for sins committed in a previous existence.

●前世の定め predestination; karma; destiny; fate

・前世の定めとあきらめる resign oneself to one's fate; accept 《one's lot》 as predestined

・これも前世の定めだ. Such is our karma. | This was foreordained.
